13,725 Pairs Of Fake Nikes Lead To Man's Arrest

CHICAGO - A man remained in the Harrison District lockup early Monday after police recovered about 13,725 pairs of counterfeit Nike gym shoes in a South Side store on Saturday. Police took the man into custody after executing a search warrant at a small retail store at 9040 S. Commercial Ave. on Saturday, according to Harrison District police, who helped obtain the warrant.

The man had 162 fake Louis Vuitton purses and about 13,725 pairs of counterfeit Nike gym shoes -- five truckloads full.

The man's identity was not being released because charges haven't been approved.
